Here for Sudbury

First elected in 2018, MPP Jamie West is a dedicated advocate for the people of Sudbury, representing them as a member of the New Democrats in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. He also serves as the Official Opposition critic for Labour, Training, and Skills Development.

Jamie loves Sudbury and is a strong voice for the community. He is proud of his blue-collar, working-class roots. A graduate of Laurentian University and Cambrian College, West's background includes working in the fields of mental health, construction, mining, and workplace safety. West is a fierce advocate for worker and human rights.

Having faced poverty at a young age, West has dedicated his career to giving back to others in need, and to pushing for government and social services that lift people up, ensuring everyone has an equal chance to succeed. West's advocacy reflects his genuine belief in a more fair and prosperous future for Ontarians.

Jamie is more than a representative - he's a tireless advocate, and an eternal optimist, consistently working to improve the lives of those he serves in his community.
